Grown up Strawberry Shortcake

I feel like a grown up version of Strawberry Shortcake in my outfit today.  Something about the colors and the pattern on my sweater or something!  Just give me a hat and some green striped tights.

Anyway, this skirt is another lovely goodie that the sweet Cambria gave me a couple of months ago.  Hasn't been the right weather to wear it until now.  It won't be 90+ again today but it will still be warm and nice out.

Sweater - Camy Couture
Tank top - Old Navy
Skirt - from Cambria
Necklace - Clothes Mentor
Shoes - Italian Shoe Maker, from cousin

For lack of much other exciting things today, I'll leave you with two images of Strawberry Shortcake if you didn't know what I was talking about.  The one on the left is the Strawberry Shortcake of MY youth.  The one on the right is the modern version....eh.

  4. Oh my gosh! I loved Strawberry Shortcake! I had roller skates, the dolls, and a pink and white gingham checked dress with a screen print of her. I was even her for Halloween with the plastic mask, lol!

Since I love SS, I LOVE your grown up version today. The cardigan and skirt are lovely together! Heather

  8. Why did they ruin strawberry shortcake? Sigh. The world just has to try to sex up everything doesn't it?

I love the tucked shirt with the untucked cardigan!

  11. All the newer toys lack humbleness the one on the right while trying to convey confidence just looks self righteous. You however look very pretty love the skirt.

  15. I love the rich color of your skirt. I think you look amazing.

Pity how they try to redesign old favorites. I still refuse to believe the Queen Frostine from Candyland got demoted. Damn shame! I remember being obsessed with the art of that board game.

  16. Yeah, I prefer the old school Strawberry Shortcake too. But my favorite 80s cartoon was Jem and the Holograms. Truly outrageous! :)
