Stitch Fix #4

So in my budget friendly approach to shopping and well, life in general these days, I had decided to stop receiving Stitch Fix boxes for awhile.  But as I've been struggling with finding clothes that fit and look nice and not frumpy lately, I decided to splurge and give it a go for the first time in months just to see what they'd come up with.  And as usual I thought I'd share here for fun and you can all tell me if you think I made the right choices again!
I was excited to see some fun tops and a pair of boyfriend jeans in the box.  My stylist noticed I'd been pinning a lot of items with boyfriend jeans to my Pinterest board so that is why she included a pair.  I recently bought a pair from Target that I adore, but figured if I loved these, having two pairs wouldn't be a bad thing!  I also was excited to see lots of blues - I lack that color in my wardrobe.  I had a blast trying everything on - here is what I received!

Staccato Jan Button Up Top:

I so wanted to love this top - I love plaid as you all know and I thought a lightweight flannel shirt would be great for spring and for cool summer nights, but sadly this just felt shapeless and frumpy on me.  I don't like where it hit on my hips either.  So this was a no go.
Verdict: Returned

Market & Spruce Zelli Split Back Tee:

Now it's funny, I took one look at this top before I put it on and thought "I'm probably not going to like this." But as soon as I put it on I fell in love!  It's super soft, it's a fun pattern and I love the fit of it!  One of the style ideas is to wear it with mint pants - which I totally have, so I might be doing that!
Verdict - Kept

Collective Concepts Adela Embroidered Split Neck Top
Kut From The Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean:

Well I wanted to love this top and these jeans.  I was torn on the top, I think with a pair of shorts or a jean skirt it might be kind of cute, but at the same time I think it hits a little weird on my body again. It was also a little pricier than what I like to see in a top like this.  The jeans I don't blame my stylist for at all, they're a size up than what I've been starting to wear, I should have updated my profile.  I think the next size down would have been just fine.  Both of these ended up going back.
Verdict: Both Returned

Urban Expressions Elisha Zipper Accent Structured Satchel:

Ok, well ever since Stitch Fix started carrying bags, I've asked for one in my box just to see what they'd send.  For this box I actually requested a bag I've seen on other Stitch Fix reviews because it looked cute and versatile.  I thought it would be turquoise, because that's the only color I've seen it in. Imagine my shock and delight when it showed up in CORAL (the pictures make it look red, but it's much peachier in person).  My stylist said she chose the coral one because of how many coral pieces I have pinned on my Pinterest (pro tip - use your Pinterest style boards if you're going to do a Fix, they really do pay attention to those!).  I almost thought about not keeping this though if you can believe that because I have a couple of red/pink type bags that are similar, but in the end I decided the size and versatility of this bag win out - the crossbody strap is really nice, but it's been really great to just carry by the handles as a handbag too.  I've received multiple compliments on this bag and I've only had it since Friday!
Verdict: Kept

Overall I thought my stylist, Amanda, whom I have had do my fixes before, did a fantastic job again, I don't blame her for things that didn't fit right, she's going off of what I said my sizes are.  I love that she once again paid attention to my Pinterest boards and that she remembered I was a mom and tried to pick mom friendly items.  I did schedule another fix for a couple of months from now.  I have asked for some more colorful items for summer - we'll see what they send next time!  What do you think of what I kept?  Did I choose well?

Friendly reminder if you've never tried Stitch Fix and would like to, I'd love it if you use my referral link here - full disclosure, it will give me a $25 if you sign up and receive your own fix.  A fun note, they offer petites and maternity now too - I sure wish they had maternity clothes back when I was pregnant with Ollie, that would have been a fun treat!
