My snowy valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!  We woke up to this here and I thought it was so pretty, I decided to take some pictures outside today.

So Mr. Monkey and I are not going out tonight, we're saving our nice dinner out for this weekend.  But I still decided to dress up a little and throw some pink into my wardrobe for today.

Instead of going out tonight, we're going to make dinner together at home and just totally chill out with some favorite shows and maybe even a bottle of wine.  So in other words, it won't be that much different that most of our days together, but you know what?  That is ok with me!  It's one of the reasons I love him so much, we do even the most mundane activities together and make them fun!  Isn't that how marriage should be?

Dress - handed down from Lynne
Sweater - Merona, Target, gift
Boots - Target (very old)
Necklace - Maurices
Bag- Coach Factory Outlet

Looking at these pictures I don't think spring is coming anytime soon.  We're definitely having more of a true winter this year!  Oh well.  How do you celebrate Valentine's Day?

  1. Ooooh, pretty! And yes, you hit the nail on the head -- when ordinary things with your guy are extraordinary just because he's there, you've found the right person!

  3. Nice snow scenes and you posing in them. That is nice to see the backgrounds. I don't dare pose outside in the cold. I did the one and fell into the snow pile. [that was not pretty]. Pretty sweater pink. :D HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

  9. We're doing the same thing tonight...making dinner and then watching tv! All that snow looks really pretty. I thought I'd wake up to snow but it was just ice on the windshield. Totally fine by me!

  14. Gorgeous sweater - and OMG that snow!!! Glad you got to do a fun thing with your fella. The DH and I usually don't plan much, our car broke down mid-food run today so any attempt at plans were foiled, but I snuggled in to watch Grey's Anatomy and work on a paper so overall an evening well done.
