Pencil skirts and snowstorms

Well, we here in MN are now under a Winter Storm Warning tonight through Thursday.  You know, the second week of April.  No big deal.  Seriously, it is this kind of weather that makes me question why I continue to live here sometimes!  Not much we can do about it though, so we're just going to go with it I guess!

So I already packed away most of my boots and didn't feel like digging them out this morning, so I went with my booties instead.  Maybe not as nice looking as taller boots would have been with this vintage pencil skirt, but you know what?  I'm comfortable and my feet are dry, so right now I don't care!  It's not snowing yet, but it is raining, so dry feet are important!

T-shirt - St. John's Bay, JCPenney
Jacket - unknown, thrifted
Skirt - vintage, Hill Valley
Tights - Target
Boots - Payless
Necklace - S&D

So those of you who are enjoying sunshine and 70's - will you please, pretty please, send some to me?  I am craving Vitamin D!!  Spring in Minnesota.  Gotta love it.

  2. I am officially not happy with spring. She's a cruel, cruel woman and she's on my shit list. Can't wait to have you over on the patio with a green canopy above us and a cocktail in our hand.

  3. This vintage pencil skirt is SO cute Beth! :) And I actually love to switch up from the tall boots to booties with skirts, I think it makes it a bit more edgy or something :) So I'm actually loving the shorter boots with this!

  4. Mother Nature is cruel. We are supposed to be in the 70s this week and then the weekend go back into the 30s at least in the mornings and evenings.

At least you look stylish and cozy to brave the potential snow storm! I really like your jacket, especially the ruffle detail. Heather

  5. I love that jacket and the pencil skirt. Even though I don't like the weather, it really reminds me of the weather we were having 5 years ago in April (actually even this week)

  6. I just read a blogger in Colorado is getting snow also...this weather is nuts! It's going to feel like summer here today but by the end of the week it'll be 50 again.

  7. I hear you on the weather! We're having an ice storm here right now. I just saw a huge branch fall on someone's car because it couldn't hold the ice...yikes! Hope you all stay dry in MN-stay inside and cozy up with a blanket! You look really great in these shots. That little jacket just gives you the perfect silhouette and has such fun detailing!

  14. Sweet skirt. I agree I like the booties with this outfit. I'm sorry to say even here where it was warm and sunny, the clouds are rolling in. We're due for rain, not snow, but the sun is hiding away already. Boohoo! The Vit. D really perked me up.

  15. I wish I could send some warm weather your way! Record setting warm temps here today, but weather in the 50s by Friday. :( Maybe it's a good thing I haven't packet away all my boots yet? Those booties you're wearing are much more April-ish though if the weather just won't cooperate yet. :)

  16. WOW I think Minnesota might be even harsher than Ottawa! We are still a bit chilly here but (fingers crossed) the snow is gone for good! I like the skirt and the grey outfit, simple and chic.
