I'm spoiled

The Pants Monkey totally spoils me.  I love him for it.  You may remember I said we really don't do gifts for Valentine's Day right?  Well he still surprised me with something.  He got me a dress.  From what he tells me it was a really good deal so I'll just have to trust him on that.  Anyway, I woke up kind of on the wrong side of the bed and really wanted to wear something that made me feel good and pretty today, so I decided to wear it.  I had promised him I'd wear it on a date night, but between our schedule lately and him getting a cold this weekend, we haven't had one of those in a little bit.  It's so cute, comfy and flirty I don't think I'll have a problem wearing it again though when we do finally go out somewhere!

This is going to be another wonderfully versatile dress, I can already tell.  It's a nice lightweight t-shirt material so it will go well into summer, but I was able to "winterize it" easily with boots and leggings.  The Pants Monkey said I looked cute this morning.  I have to agree.

So now it sounds like we aren't getting as much snow as they originally thought - which has so been the name of the game this year!  I'm prepared with my boots on just in case!  I also planned a very wintery dinner for us in anticipation of the snowstorm - chili and grilled cheese sandwiches - perfect snowstorm meal?  I think so!  We'll hunker down and be warm and toasty no matter what, even if it's a piddly inch of slush.

I just hope there is some moisture out of this storm - the air is sooooo dry, I can't keep enough lotion on!  Anyone else having that problem?  It's pretty annoying isn't it?  Oh well, it's the end of February, spring is just around the corner right?

Outfit rundown:
T-shirt - Mossimo, Target
Dress - VS, gift from the Pants Monkey
Leggings - Steve Madden via DSW
Boots - Target
Necklace - Charming Charlie

  2. OMG Pants Monkey did a great job! I love when Jb gets me clothes too, sometimes he seems to know what will look great on me better than I do!--I said sometimes.
I hear ya on the weather. Let's hang on, it's only like 20 days or so to spring? :)

  3. Ohwhat a cute dress! He did a good job picking it out. I love the color and think it will be endlessly versatile.

I'm definitely having issues with the weather. The fact that it's been in the 70s all week has not helped.

  4. Very cute dress (Great job Pants Monkey)! I love the look with the leggings and boots and the necklace too.

I agree on the dry hands. I have used so much lotion to keep my hands moist, but it's not working!

  5. Love the dress!! Whenever I get married, I hope my husband has such good taste. ;) I'm a big fan of dress/leggings paired up.

And I will gladly trade you some of our deep south/gulf coast weather - meet in the middle? Haha. 80s and rainy today (and the humidity is bleh). :P

  6. I really like the fit of that dress on you! As for food, I'd agree with you, but my husband doesn't do beans, so chili is rarely an option in this house. However, he does make a mean homemade mac and cheese - it's so creamy you actually cook the mac in milk!! So good! We had that tonight with Chorizo sausage because it was super cold this morning!

  7. Oooh. It looks so comfy! He did a great job picking it out and you did a great job of winterizing it. Although, like you probably are, I'm so over winterizing ALL of my clothes. I don't want the snow, but if it's bad enough, I don't have to work tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm hoping for a few feet!
