Blue velvet

Keeping it simple today and apparently very blue.  Not there is anything wrong with blue, but this is a very blue outfit.  And unlike yesterday's all thrifted outfit, today's is totally not thrifted.  Although the sandals were my mom's, but that doesn't really count.

I'm nerdly proud of myself guys.  I made a blog button/badge/whatever you call it.  It's on the right hand side over there with a box underneath with a code you can grab and post on your blog if you wish - I know not everyone posts buttons on their sites, in fact I'm one to talk because I haven't yet, though I plan to add some soon of some of your wonderful blogs when I get some time to do some rearranging.  Mostly I'm just crazy proud of myself for figuring out how to do it.  Cause I'm a giant nerd!

Man this is the most exciting blog post EVAR.  I just don't have much witty type stuff to share today.  So, what do I do when I can't ramble on?  I share cat pictures!

This young lady was my shadow as I was getting ready to go to work today.  She even was trying to get in my bag.  Oh Pippin, I'd take you to work with me if I could!

Outfit rundown:
T-shirt and sweater - Old Navy
Skirt - Cliche Minneapolis
Sandals - Duck Head (from mom)
Necklace - Butterfly Boutique

  1. I haven't figured out the button thing yet or even if I want to do it, but I agree with you that it does feel GOOD to learn new things and figure stuff out. Go nerds!

  2. I love that skirt so much! And there's enough difference in the shades of blue so it's not overpowering. Nice work!

Congrats on getting the button thing figured out! I see it! It always feels so good to accomplish something like that (or, maybe it just does to me, because I'm a nerd too). I'm currently working on developing a website for my photography stuff...it's so hard! And what's worse is, I know five years ago I wouldn't have had any problem pulling stuff together, but now I'm super out of practice.

    1. Thanks, I was getting worried it was TOO much blue.

Kudos to you on developing a website! That is hard work!

  3. I love the outfit, especially the flared skirt which creates a lovely silhouette. And, as Ashley noted, you use many shades of blue so they work nicely together.

  4. Well done on the button! I am nerdy, but not good at that sort of thing (I just add the gadgets from Blogger when I can!).

I love all the blues in this outfit.

Aw, your little Pippin is so sweet. Tuxedo cats are the best.

  8. Ha! I'd be nerdily proud too. I've never been able to figure out how to get the box of HTML below the photo. :)

  9. I'm not going to lie, I don't like cats (don't judge, I'm SUPER allergic and grew up with LOTS of them, so I was pretty much tormented by them my whole childhood haha!), but your Pippin is REALLY cute! He looks all sad about the fact that you're leaving him to go to work!

  10. This is a gorgeous outfit! If this is too much blue, then I wore too much grey today. I totally copied this look because I couldn't decide what to wear today!

Hooray for kitty pictures. Your little lady has got the pretty fur markings! The kittens could care less yesterday when I left, they're usually very clingy and try to fall asleep on you so you can't leave!

  12. I think this is a great outfit. Next to pink, blue another color that I love. I'm very new to blogging, so I don't even know what the button this for...haha. I still have so much to learn, but for now, I'm just having fun!

  14. I love this outfit, Beth! I realize that I have a ton of blue items, too. And I really don't know why! It's not like it's my favorite color or anything. So weird. Anyway, that skirt is just fantabulous! I love the fabric :)
