Colonel Mustard in the Office with a week old outfit

Did you see what I did there with my title?  I attempted to play off of the board game "Clue" a little bit.  Anyway, if you haven't guessed, today's color for the Fall Color Challenge is mustard.  And I was silly and wore my most prominent mustard colored item of clothing a week (well a week and some change) ago on Election Day - see the "I voted" sticker?  But I knew I'd want to have a Thursday outfit planned ahead anyway, so I just saved this one for this week!  Sneaky huh?

Sweater - St. John's Bay, JCPenney
Denim shirt - Talbots, thrifted
Pants - No Boundaries, thrifted
Shoes - Mossimo, Target, thrifted
Necklace - S&D

Speaking of sneaky, "Clue" is one of my all time favorite board games.  I used to play it with my mom and well, when there's two people, it's pretty easy to figure out "whodunnit" pretty easily.  I didn't have siblings though and my dad was often working on things in the garage or around the house when we'd play games.

In my adult years, my in-laws and I have discovered that it is really fun playing family board games like "Clue" or "Life" when alcohol is involved.  And loud.  Very loud.  But mostly fun.

What is your favorite board game, either now or from childhood?

I'm one of those weird people that loathe board, computer or card games. I am utterly non-competitive and just could care less!

I love your mustard sweater worn with this denim top. Thanks for the idea! I've got a sweater almost identical (but, thrifted Merona) that I've not even worn yet and I am going to make note of that combination for a future collaboration.

  13. Gorgeous gorgeous yellow sweater. It looks so awesome with your plaid pants. After the challenge is over, I need to wear my plaid pants.

I've never played Clue either, but I really do love Scrabble. I'm pretty good at it, too. I can't usually get people on board with playing board games, unfortunately!

  14. You didn't need to add: 'in the Office with a week old outfit' - got it with COlonel! The outfit is most pleasing- I really do like those trousers! Wishing I didn't get rid of my tartan trousers as a teen!
I wasn't that keen on Cluedo as a child (haven't played it since then) but I love so many board games! Scrabble is my ultimate favourite closely followed by Pictionary. I love Articulate, Taboo, The Big Taboo, Cop It, Cranium, Boggle! Well, most things!x

I'm glad you do, because you look great in that color!
My favorite board game is Trivial Pursuit, and any other trivia type game. My head has LOTS of useless knowledge.

  16. I love bright, bold colors on you, Beth. This sweater is very cool.

I am one of those peeps that doesn't get board games, although when The Teen was younger, I'd play those online Nicklelodean games with her for hours.

  24. Great mustard sweater, colonel! Do you call the game 'Clue' in the US? In the UK it is ''Cluedo', pronounced clue-doh, but that really doesn't make any sense... Clue is snappier, for sure!
