Black and white

After I saw Heather wear an all black and white outfit yesterday I decided to the same today.  I've been obsessed with color this summer, but sometimes the classic black and white is good.  Gives me an excuse to wear this shirt I got while thrifting with my mom several weeks ago at this point.

I'm wearing regular black crop pants with a belly band.  Here's what I've decided about belly bands for any of you that may ever get pregnant someday - they work pretty good with dress pants, but they suck with jeans.  I've pretty much said "goodbye for now" to all my pre-pregnancy jeans at this point, but am finding some of my dressier pants are working pretty good with the belly band, so I'll take it!

Shirt - Motherhood Maternity, thrifted
Pants - Mossimo, Target (old)
Necklace - S&D
Earrings - Butterfly Boutique
Bracelet - Charming Charlie
Shoes - Anne Klein, from cousin

Beyond that I do not have much else of excitement to share today.  It's August 1st though - crazy at how this summer is flying by!  I'm looking forward to a little calmer month than July was, we do have another little mini-cabin getaway to look forward to, but that's about it.  Life will just be status quo for a little while and that is ok with me!

  1. So glad you decided to do all b&w today. As much as I love color, neutrals are good every now and then. The top was a great find too. I loved those types of shirts when I was pregnant. Never tried the belly band, I used to use a rubber band to hold my pre-pregnancy jeans together ha ha!

  4. This is a very pretty look! That sucks about the belly-bands. I remember in Juno that the mom had cut the tops off all of her jeans and sewn a band thing on them all. But it seems like a lot of work.

  8. Oh I love this top on you. You know what? You don't look very pregnant. You don't. I was like that with my first daughter. I was a month from delivering and a woman at church didn't even know I was expecting. She was shocked when I told her I was due in a month. But ...ydd? OMyGosh! I was showing and huge at 4 months and stayed big and bigger and the biggest ever. I have a photo of me that I accidentally got into a week before I had her. Ya, I WAS HUUUUUUUUGGGEEEEEEE!

You look darling in this outfit!!!

Thanks for your nice words to me and your compliments! (hug)

  9. That top is absolutely darling. With how hot it is, I'm gladly giving up jeans for awhile longer anyway. Shorts, skirts, and dresses ahoy!
