50 Shades of Gray

Apparently I wanted to wear all the gray the day I wore this outfit!  I said it in a post last week during the color challenge though - I own a lot of gray!  It's just one of those neutrals that works with everything!

So speaking of 50 Shades of Gray - I still haven't read that book.  I do still want to because of all the hype about it and I'm still not sure how I feel about the movie.  There are many books that have transferred to the big screen very well, but many, MANY others that should just be left alone too.  At any rate, this is one I think I will want to read before seeing the movie, so I should really get on that one of these days.  Been too busy reading birthing and baby care books.  I need more fiction in my life!!

Sweater - F21, thrifted
Tights and boots - Target
Necklace - S&D with MMD buttonflower

And speaking of things that have colors in their titles - we finished Orange is the New Black last night which makes me saaaaaaad panda.  Love everything about that show.  I did hear it's getting another "season" so to speak so I will be anxiously awaiting new episodes.  It's almost November Sweeps anyway, so many of our regular shows should be getting good here!

  2. Don't waste your time on 50 Shades. I read the series and it was pretty awful. Basically I read it during the big hype and it was just "meh" Christian is a freak and Anastasia just seems to play into the weirdness, ha ha! I am no prude, but it became pretty redundant in the second book.

You do look great in all your 50 Shades of Gray though!

  3. I really don't think the 50 Shades movie is going to live up to the hype. It's going to be nearly impossible to translate the book into the movie without a NC 17 rating!

  4. You look amazing in that shade of grey. I haven't read the book - I've heard the writing is terrible.

  5. I love all of the grey! It looks nice because of the stripes and the flower, it really brings it all together :) Have you guys watched any Sleepy Hollow? I just got caught up and I LOVE it.

  7. I haven't read the book either, and I've actually read the first twilight book... so yeah.

Who knows, in ten years, the movie will probably be on television, and free to watch.

As for grey the color. Love it. I could pile on lots of grey right now. Grey is such a comfort color.

  9. You always look amazing in Grey. I too love & wear Grey a lot, especially now. I think it gets a bad rap. It is quite a Fabulous Neutral Color. The dress looks amazing showing off your bump. About 6-7 more weeks left, right?

I miss you on my page. Come take a peek at the latest, soon. Thanks.

  10. I own 50 Shades of Gray and still haven't read it! Maybe with all the hype about the upcoming movie, I'll actually read it. I'm reading Orange is the New Black and want to watch the series once I'm done. I used to work for a non-profit that helped ex-offenders find employment. It was eye opening work, but it's been interesting to read about the experience on the inside of the prison system.
