Turbulant

I'm not going to lie - I don't love my outfit 100% today.  I thought this sweater would be just a wee bit longer.  Oh well, pregnant ladies are like the only people for whom leggings are acceptable as pants I think, so I guess it's all good.  I don't have to go into the clinics today anyway!  I'll just be comfy here at my desk where no one can see me!  But anyway I'm getting off track. Today's color for the Pantone color challenge is Turbulence - which is best described as kind of a slate gray.

I own SO much gray you guys.  I don't know why.  It's not the happiest color ever.  I just gravitate towards it.  I even told the girls at the swap on Sunday that I just always flock to gray and guess what, I even brought home a gray sweater from the swap.  Not the one I'm wearing today, but one I'm sure you'll see soon.  I'm not allowed to buy anymore gray though I have decided!

Sweater - Oh Baby by Motherhood via consignment
Leggings and boots - Target
Necklace - Stella and Dot

I'm excited about the color for tomorrow - it's a shade of orange and if you've followed me for awhile you know I adore orange - but I'm facing the challenge of not sure what I have in my closet that will work for me at the present moment given this lovely bump and all.  I'm going to maybe have to get creative!  But it will happen!  I'm always up for a challenge!!

  1. I really like gray, so this monochromatic outfit to me is great. It's softer than black which works for fair skinned girls. Looking forward to seeing how you challenge yourself styling your orange!

  2. Don't worry, I think the top is still long enough for the leggings! I own a ton of grey too...mostly sweaters. Apparently I need to buy more color for the fall/winter!

  4. Ah! I love it! I am sorry that you are not happy with this outfit. Maybe if you had brown or black leggings? I still am so in love with that sweater :)

  6. I like this look because I have been wearing a lot of neutrals and darker colours myself this season. And I haven't found a single pair of well fitting and awesome jeans yet so I have been wearing leggings as pants all the time :-p I think we can be forgiven for that :-D excited to see your outfit for tomorrow :)

  7. I love gray, too! I own over 8 pairs of grey pants and while I should be embarrassed, I'm not! I really feel that Grey is an even greater neutral than black because you can wear grey with brown and blue and still be coordinated. Anyhow, I think you look adorable and I love your boots! I'm so glad it's finally boot season!

  8. I love that you posted this outfit anyway, even if you didn't like it. Grey is so nice with other colours - can't wear it anywhere near my face, though, aside from one shade!

  10. I love grey, and your monochrome look is cute! I think for sitting comfy behind a desk, some days you can sneak by in a pair of leggings. I own a ridiculous amount of grey things, where I should ban myself from buying it, but I never do.

  11. I love grey too, and have tons of it even though it's not too "happy" as you say! :) I guess it's a happier version of black? ;P

  12. Is it just me or is grey warmer than the other colours? Tomorrow, I'm pulling out my grey sweater, which I've been reserving for a cold day, and I'm not really sure why I think it's warmer than any of my other ones!
