Inspiration Monday - Gleeful

I was pretty excited when I saw that the two birds picked this picture of Lea Michelle from Glee for Inspiration Monday this week.  Not only am I a "gleek" (though I think this season is pretty lame so far) I also had the perfect sweater to duplicate this outfit!

And hey guess what - it's actually a nursing sweater!  It's a little unusual, you can button and unbutton it a couple of different ways.  I love how soft it is and I can easily cover up the baby if need be.  And it strangely matches the picture of Lea!

I wore this outfit to the final shower I had yesterday.  Yep, I had one more shower.  We have big families and my dad's side wanted to throw one and never had the chance before Oliver was born, so we did one yesterday.  It was very sweet, they did a book theme, so everyone brought books to start a library for him.  We got some really good ones and I can't wait to read them to him.

In other news, we're getting another cold snap this week, but not as bad as the one last week thankfully, so I guess it could be worse!  We have a playdate with a friend of mine tomorrow so I will just have to really warm up the car I guess!

Friendship Friday

Due to craziness at work and a later morning OB appointment I just didn't have the time to pull together much for a blog post, but I did want to share this photo from my friends shower from a couple of weeks ago.  I am BEYOND BLESSED to have these amazing women in my life.  I have friends from elementary school (as early as kindergarten) through middle school, high school, church, college and beyond in my life, not to mention a very supportive sister in law and a dear friend I made through her - so I am seriously just the luckiest gal around.  I had the best night ever with these ladies and I am so thankful my little guy will have so many surrogate aunties since he will only have one actual auntie.  Friends are the best.  End of story.

Pinned it and Did it - Baby shower style

Hey everyone!  So I had some requests for pictures from my baby shower - we didn't get a lot, but I have some of my outfit because I was purposely saving it for today's "Pinned it and Did It" with Heather from Style Journey.  I pinned this outfit a little while back because I recently purchased a very similar sweater dress from a consignment shop.

My outfit is a little different toned, instead of brown, I paired mine with purple leggings and a gray scarf.  It was kind of chilly on Sunday, so it was kind of needed!  The next time I wear this I want to try it with some brown.

I was warm and cozy and had a lot of compliments!  And best of all - this was a very comfy outfit too!  I was also color coordinated with the decorations - totally not on purpose!

Here are a few photos from the actual shower courtesy of my aunt.  My mom has 12 brothers and sisters, so her family is quite large!  This is only a small representation.

This picture makes me laugh because I'm sitting between two aunts who both happened to be named Pat.  I joked that I was a "Patty sandwich."

I still have two more showers coming later on, so hopefully I'll have other pictures to share at some point! Our little man sure will be spoiled!
