Goodbye July

Anyone else staring to get summer fatigue?  I thought I was doing pretty well and then all of sudden I opened my closet today and went...I don't want to wear any of this stuff!  And it's silly, I have items I've worn only once or not at all yet but I was just like...nope.  I want a sweater and boots.  Or maybe it's not even that, I think I'm just a little uninspired lately.  I do like the outfit I pulled together today as I've only worn this skirt once so far.

Truth is, even if I claim summer fatigue, it's been a good summer.  And it's hard to believe that July is pretty much over and August is tomorrow.  We're into the last summer stretch already.  But we have fun plans throughout the month of August that I am very much looking forward to.  It could end up being the best month of summer!

We're going "up north" to one of my favorite places in Minnesota in just a couple of weeks for a few days and I'm really excited for it.  We also have a day trip to a brewery in Wisconsin one day.  We have our State Fair at the end of the month.  And hopefully many more dinners on patios.  We try to take advantage of the ability to sit outside for as long as we can!

So how about you?  Summer fatigue?  Wishing it would never end and you can wear tank tops and skirts forever?  Is your summer going fast or slow?  Are you having a good summer?

Outfit rundown:
Shirt - Heart and Soul via JCPenney
Skirt - Vintage via Savers
Sandals - Issac Mizrahi for Target, thrifted
Necklace - Butterfly Boutique
Bracelet - Target
Earrings - swap from CC

  1. Your plaid skirt is so pretty! I feel like summer is going way too fast and there's all these things I still want to do before it's over.

  3. Summer here is so erratic - today is cloudy and cool! I never wish for it to end. September is usually our nicest month, oddly.

Love all the pink - that's really your colour.

  6. The summer is quickly coming to and end- I have to go back to to work in two weeks! Wow, that sounded lame- two weeks is what people get total for vacation if they're lucky. I mean, I'm so lucky I've had all this time off and two more weeks to boot! I do know what you mean about wanting to wear a sweater, though- I looked at my coat closet yesterday and started to miss those guys!

  7. I envy your Summer-fatigue. I've been working too hard and haven't started enjoying the season yet. My life sucks. :)

    Pretty pink clothes.

  8. OMG I am totally the opposite! If I could live in this weather year round I would be the happiest girl alive! I do like fall and boots and layering but I wish we could have summer for 9 months and then fall for 3 and then summer again. Too much to ask? haha

  9. I do have a bit of summer fatigue! :) It's just been go-go-go so I totally feel you, darlin! That's fun that you are taking a mini-vaca up north. We are lucky that Minnesota is so beautiful...you don't have to travel far to find something amazing! :)

  10. Summer fatigue indeed! I am aching for fall already. But I love the pastel colors you're sporting today. I guess summer is a bittersweet season for me since I love light, warm weather colors like these.

  11. Such a sweet summer look. That's a great plaid skirt. You should wear it more often.

I know how you feel though. I'm more than ready for fall. Considering I've had high temperatures since about March, I feel overdone on the hot weather. I'm wishing for a reason to wear a sweater or even a short sleeved jacket. I had to purposefully pull together some very summery outfits because I know that eventually it'll turn cold and I'll regret not wearing certain things.

  12. Yes, yes, yes! I have summer fatigue, too!! I am totally ready to start wearing some heavier clothes and fall fashions. But I really like this look you pulled together for today. It's very flattering, and that shirt is TOTALLY something I would love to have in my own wardrobe. Very pretty!

  16. Cute. I've been super busy this summer so I feel kind of the opposite, like it's going to quickly and I haven't had enough time to enjoy it. I also still have a few summer items I have to wear. But style wise I'm definitely looking forward to fall, I'm ready to wear pants, boots and long sleeves.

  17. No summer fatigue for me... but then, seasons start later up here in the Pacific NW. I was still wearing rain boots a month ago! Or rather, seasons start when they're supposed to (the equinox and solstice dates finally make sense up here!), it's just that every place else starts early. ;)

  18. Wonderful plaid skirt! Love these colors.
Yes...I was in a slump a few days ago and feeling uninspired...not because I'm ready for fall clothes, but because it's not been all that warm here and I know fall will be upon us so quickly. I'm feeling a bit better now though.

  19. So pretty, Beth, your top looks mauve on my computer screen. I love the long, lean lines created by the wide belt and long skirt.
